Privacy Policy

The Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) is committed to protecting the rights of all our clients, members, and website visitors. We keep all sensitive information secure and have created this privacy statement to share our information gathering and dissemination practices for our association and for this website.

Collection of Online Information

We do not automatically log personal data nor do we link information automatically logged by other means with personal data about specific individuals. We do not collect information about our website visitors from other sources, such as public records or bodies, or private organizations.

Our web server automatically collects your IP address when you visit our site. (Your IP address is your computer's unique address that lets other computers attached to the Internet know where to send data, but does not identify you individually.) We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to compile statistics on site usage. We do not make your IP address available to anyone outside of our technology support.

To provide better service and a more effective website, sections of this site may use "cookies" as part of our interaction with your browser. A cookie is a small text file (typically only a few bytes) that we place on your hard drive to allow our server to identify your computer. Our cookies will not attempt to read any information on your hard drive, and we do not combine information collected through cookies with other personal information to determine your identity or your email address.

Security

All information provided by visitors to IMC’s website is protected by strict safeguards designed to ensure that unauthorized access, use, proliferation, and alteration is prevented.

Disclosure of Personal Information

IMC will not sell or distribute client, contact, or website user information to third parties. If you have voluntarily submitted member information to us through an e-mail or through our sign-up utility, IMC maintains your security by ensuring the information is only distributed within the IMC organization. This enables us to respond to your request about our services. If you subscribe to an e-mail list, you will be given instructions on how to remove yourself from that list.

IMC may disclose Personal Information if (a)required to do so by law or pursuant to a court order, or (b) in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to protect the rights, personal safety, or property of IMC, its Web site, its users, or the public. IMC will disclose personal information only with the user's prior consent, whether by opt-in, opt-out, or other form of consent.

Updates of the Privacy Statement

We recommend that you review this Privacy Statement periodically, as IMC may update it from time to time.
